Meet Your Nutritionist,
Hello!
I'm so glad you're here.
I'm Shannon McKirdy, a Holistic Nutritionist who can help you get pregnant sooner.
I strive to uncover the "root cause" of what might be holding you back from your dream family. My pro-fertility framework goes beyond just nutrition and what’s on your plate each day. Fertility isn’t only about reproductive health — it’s about the health of your whole body and how all systems work in harmony.
Your journey to motherhood doesn't have to be overwhelming. If you are looking for a clear, customized plan built just for you that will give your body the confidence it needs to conceive - look no further. Let's build your path to parenthood with less stress and more success!

I've Been There Too...
Have you been trying to get pregnant for what feels like forever? I know exactly what it feels like to want to be pregnant, like yesterday.
Do you feel overwhelmed with all the information out there about “the best fertility diet” and don't know where to start?
Are you wondering how to improve your fertility with a PCOS or Endometriosis diagnosis?
Have you suffered painful miscarriages and feel like you are losing all hope?
Have you been told by your doctor to "keep trying" before they will look deeper into your struggles?
Are you thinking that IVF or reproductive technologies are your only solution to getting pregnant over 35?
Or better yet, have you been diagnosed with “unexplained infertility” after your blood labs say everything is “normal”?
Maybe you've tried:
-
eating "clean" or "organic" foods
-
taking a variety of supplements you read about online
-
joining fertility support Facebook groups
-
following random snippets of advice from Instagram
-
reading all the blog posts and articles about how to get pregnant
-
asking your Doctor for hormone testing
I want you to know,
YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
I have first hand experience in struggling with infertility, PCOS, pregnancy loss and trying to navigate the conventional medical system that isn't equipped to truly help people heal their bodies.
Your fertility is so much more than just your reproductive organs and sex hormones.
My holistic fertility philosophy is simple - focus on the foundations of whole body nourishment.
When these foundations are supported, your body can begin to heal itself and will finally feel safe and ready enough to conceive.
This is exactly why I created The Fertility Foundations Method. To help women who feel stuck and overwhelmed on their fertility journey uncover what’s holding their body back and use functional testing to create a clear, personalized path toward pregnancy.
My Fertility Foundations
Mindset
This doesn’t necessarily mean “thinking positive” all the time. It means creating space for compassion, realistic hope, and emotional flexibility. When you feel safe and supported—physically and emotionally—your body is better able to respond to nutrition and lifestyle changes to help you move through your fertility journey with more ease.
Mineral Balance
Minerals act as the body’s spark plugs, driving hormone production, thyroid function, energy, and stress resilience. When minerals are depleted or imbalanced, it becomes harder for the body to regulate cycles, support ovulation, and maintain a healthy reproductive environment.
Nervous System &
Stress Resilience
Your body needs to feel safe in order to prioritize reproduction. When stress is high or the nervous system is constantly in “fight or flight,” the body diverts energy away from hormone balance, ovulation, digestion, and thyroid function—all key pieces of fertility.
Nutrition
The foods you eat provide the raw materials your body uses to create hormones, balance blood sugar, support ovulation, build a healthy uterine lining, reduce inflammation, nourish developing eggs and so much more. Consistency is key, not perfection.
Digestive & Liver Health
These systems determine how well your body absorbs nutrients, balances hormones, detoxifies and eliminates waste. If digestion is sluggish or the liver is overburdened, hormones like estrogen can build up, inflammation can rise, and nutrient absorption can drop—all of which can disrupt cycles, ovulation, and overall reproductive health.
Reduce Environmental Toxins
Many everyday chemicals—found in plastics, personal care products, cleaning supplies, and even food packaging—can act as endocrine disruptors. These substances interfere with hormone signaling, contribute to inflammation, burden the liver, and impact egg and sperm quality.
